(Capsicum annum ‘Long Sweet Yellow’)
A hardy annual and prolific fruiting, sweet pepper. A strong compact shrub with ample late summer/autumn sweet tasting fruit that is medium sized with a crisp texture.
Flavours/Food Partners
Serve raw with salad vegetables, cooked with meat and vegetables. Partner with garlic, shallots, onions, tomatoes, oregano, marjoram, thyme and rosemary.
Health/Cooking/Medicinal
Capsicums are a versatile vegetable that are great raw in salads, sandwiches and with dips. Alternatively lightly fry in stir fry’s and Asian dishes or slow baked with meat and other vegetables in European style cooking. Harvest when rich in color.
Landscaping/Planting
Plant in open sunny position, in moist well drained soil. Suits large container. Cultivation/Fertiliser: Feed regularly with Seasol and Powerfeed from mid spring to late autumn. Deep soak when required.
