(Lonicera nitida ‘Baggesen’s Gold’)
An easy and quick growing hedging or topiary plant with attractive golden foliage. Tight growth that responds well to clipping.
Small, almost insignificant cream flowers in spring.
POSITION & USES
Like most Loniceras this one is very easy to grow tolerating a wide range of conditions from tropics to cool temperate. Use as small to medium formal hedge or it can be trimmed to virtually any shape the imagination desires.
It will grow in full shade but responds best to morning sun or dappled shade. It is accepting of most soil types but will require regular summer watering in sandy or well drained soils. Prune one or two times a year or as needed.
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed (especially after spring and autumn pruning) will keep it looking its best.
