SPECIAL QUALITIES
Lavender Avonview is a fine form of Spanish lavender selected for its compact habit and repeat flowering.
FLOWERS
Deep purple spikes appear in early spring through to late autumn. It will repeat flower about seven weeks after pruning.
POSITION & USES
An open, sunny position in a well drained soil preferred. Avonview can be used in many ways: as a hedge, in a group among shrubs and perennials such as Cistus, Sedum, Callistemon, Convolvulus, or as feature plants at entrances or on the sides of paths.
CULTIVATION
Trim twice a year after flowers die off.
FERTILISING
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed and an annual feed with lime will keep it looking its best.
WATER RATING
- Red can = Little water in hot, dry weather.
- Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
- Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
