The stunning/attractive heirloom vegetable produces lots of small heads of deep-purple florets. It is an old English variety that can be cut and re-harvested.
Flavours/Food Partners
Broccoli partners with all other oat and leafy green vegetables, either steamed or stir-fried. Flavour is best when slightly undercooked but still soft. Serve with butter and crushed ginger.
Health/Cooking/Medicinal
Airy, open position with plenty of sun, and needs winter cold to set the heads. Likes spring watering in a location with very good drainage.

Airy, open position with plenty of sun; avoid heavier frosts. Likes spring watering in a location with very good drainage. Will bolt to seed in summer.
Cultivation/Fertiliser
Requires regular applications of Seasol and Powerfeed. Deep soaking in spring. When plants are young, keep dry. Harvest at 2-3 months.
