A sun loving, low plant that forms a green mound with attractive pink mauve flowers in summer.
Growing Tips
Plant in dry exposed spots with good air movement. It needs little water and will die in heavy, wet soils.
Use
Thyme can be used at all stages of cooking. Early for strong flavour in soups, casseroles etc, late for stir fries and salads or as a garnish for any savory dish. It is high in many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are all essential for optimum health.
