Description

(Salvia officinalis)

A compact mounded perennial, comprising of a dense ball of oval shaped, sage green leaves.

POSITION USES

Plant in full sun in well drained soil. Berggarten Sage will grow in poor soil but responds to soil improvement. Can be used as a foliage foil amongst flowering plants, as a neat border or in containers. Also a good culinary sage.

CULTIVATION

Easily grown in most garden situations. Prune regularly by trimming off 8cm to 10cm of new growth. Do not cut too hard, or in late autumn/winter.

FERTILISING

Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
