An evergreen shrub grown for its rounded habit and attractive long flowering period.
FLOWERS
Deep claret red flowers occur from spring to late autumn.
POSITION & USES
Plant in a sunny position in we11-drained soil. Also suited to large pots and verandah tubs. Good border plant for large cottage garden bed.
CULTIVATION
Tolerates a range of soils and conditions including coastal areas, but thrives in well-drained and sunny positions. A light trim after each flowering will promote and extend the flowering season.
FERTILISING
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
WATER RATING
- Red can = Little water in hot, dry weather.
- Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
- Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
