(Salvia splendens x hirtella ‘Firecracker’)
Dark green foliage with burgundy red stems and vivid red flowers. An easy to grow, long lived perennial Salvia.
Vivid red flowers and stems on long heads that cover the bush over summer and autumn.
POSITION & USES
Plant in mass in a large cottage bed or as an edging plant along a path for a colourful summer. Also looks great in large pots. Enjoys warm sunny areas preferably in an airy location. Any well drained soil is suitable.
Prune off spent flowers to encourage re-flowering. A medium prune in late summer will help it keep its shape.
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best.
