Gloriosa Daisy (also known as Golden Coneflower) makes an eye catching display of sunflower like golden yellow flowers with dark centres. This is the species wild flower from eastern USA.


The stunning flowers appear in summer.


Plant in a sunny position in well prepared soil with organic matter added. Use to create big blocks of colour in a border planting or traditional cottage garden. A traditional herbal medicine of the Native Americans.


Feed the plants well in spring, mulch in preparation for summer and cut back close to the ground in winter.


Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed over spring and summer will keep it looking its best.

  • Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
  • Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
