A popular and easy to grow Australian ground cover with colorful and edible flowers.
Flavours/Food Partners
Best used as garnishes for cheese platters, appetizers or as a colorful addition to garden salads. Can be tossed in with a pasta dish as it is served.
Health/Cooking/Medicinal
An easy to use herb that gives a splash of purple and white to serving plates, salads and pasta dishes. Do not cook as the flower will loose color and shape. Place flowers with mixed herbs in a bottle with olive oil to make a nice drizzle for bread and salads.
Landscaping/Planting
This is a dense ground cover that will suppress weeds, can be used as a flowering lawn for light foot traffic or in pots. Will grow in most conditions but prefers a moist soil with dappled shade.
Cultivation/Fertiliser
Pick flowers as needed and give regular applications of Seasol and Powerfeed to keep the plant healthy and producing well. Trim as needed if the plant spreads too much.
