Description

(Brassica japonica’Red Giant’ )

A quick growing, salad vegetable with large red and green leaves that add colour to the garden and the kitchen.

Health/Cooking/Medicinal

Mustard Greens are popular in Asian dishes. The colourful red/green leaves have a piquant mustard flavour that fades with cooking. Harvest leaves regularly all year round, once cut rinse and use straight away. Coarse chop and mix with desired food partners then add dressing just prior to serving.

Landscaping/Planting

Plant in rich organic soil that is moist but well drained. Prefers a full sun position with plenty of air movement. Can be grown in pots.
