Rocket, cress, lettuce varieties, chicory, mizuna, salad burnet, sorrel and fresh herbs like parsley, coriander, celery leaf and basil. Use in salads with lightly cooked vegetables like mushrooms, asparagus, snow peas or meats such as ham and bacon.
Health/Cooking/Medicinal
Mustard Greens are popular in Asian dishes. The colourful red/green leaves have a piquant mustard flavour that fades with cooking. Harvest leaves regularly all year round, once cut rinse and use straight away. Coarse chop and mix with desired food partners then add dressing just prior to serving.
Landscaping/Planting
Plant in rich organic soil that is moist but well drained. Prefers a full sun position with plenty of air movement. Can be grown in pots.
Cultivation/Fertiliser
Regular applications of Seasol and PowerFeed will keep the plants healthy and growing well.
