Beacon Silver is an excellent spreading ground cover in shade or semi shade. The silver foliage is edged with green and is complemented by short spikes of pink flowers.
The pink flowers form short spikes above the foliage in spring and summer.
POSITION & USES
Use mass planted under trees or on the shady side of a building where the silver leaves almost shine. It is very attractive along paths through ovemead trees. It can also be used in a pot or basket by itself or in mixed plantings.
Lamiums will grow in any good garden soil that is not allowed to dry out in hot weather. Trim back leading stems in winter to keep the foliage dense.
