(Buxus microphylla ‘Japonica’)
An evergreen shrub grown for its rounded tight shape with small dark green foliage. Makes an excellent low hedge.
Small pale yellow flowers occur in spring.
POSITION & USES
Grows best in part to full sun. This densely foliaged shrub makes an ideal hedge plant and is useful for herb borders and parterre gardens.
Tolerates a range of soils and conditions including coastal areas, but thrives in moist, well drained soil with protection from cold, drying winds. Prune annually to promote compact growth.
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed and an annual feed with blood and bone will keep it looking its best.
