A very hardy large shrub with masses of lightly perfumed flowers that attract birds and butterflies.

FLOWERS

Medium sized blue-mauve flower spikes in summer.

POSITION & USES

As screening plant, small hedge or specimen plant in cottage garden. Does well in sunny position and tolerates coastal planting.

CULTIVATION

Give medium prune after flowering or when plant is too large.

FERTILISING

Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed will keep it looking its best and growing well.

WATER RATING

  • Red can = Little water in hot, dry weather.
  • Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
  • Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
