(Thymus serpyllum ‘Annie Hall’)
A sun loving, ground hugging plant that forms an attractive rose-pink carpet in summer.
Other thymes, oregano, rosemary and garlic. Enhances white meats and salads. Flowers and foliage make good garnishes.
Thyme can be used at all stages of cooking. Early for strong flavour in soups, casseroles etc., late for stir-fries and salads or as a garnish for any savoury dish. It is high in many vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that are all essential for optimum health.
Plant in dry exposed spots with full sun and good air movement. It needs little water and will die in heavy, wet soils. Fits well between pavers and will tolerate light foot traffic.
Regular applications of Seasol and PowerFeed in spring and autumn will keep the plant healthy and growing well.
