SPECIAL QUALITIES
White Italian Lavender is a small easy to grow lavender with masses of small white flowers.
FLOWERS
Creamy white flowers with frilly little wings appear throughout spring and autumn, and in late winter in sunnier regions.
POSITION & USES
An open, sunny position in a well drained soil is preferred. White Italian Lavender can be used in many ways: as a hedge, in a group among shrubs and perennials such as Polemonium, Heliotropium, lberis, Geum or as a fragrant border alongside drives and paths.
CULTIVATION
Trim twice a year after flowers die off. Remove spent flowers to stop self seeding.
FERTILISING
Regular applications of Seasol and Power Feed and an annual feed with lime will keep it looking its best.
WATER RATING
- Red can = Little water in hot, dry weather.
- Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
- Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
