A tough plant with silver foliage that will withstand heat and drought.
FLOWERS
Large, plum daisy-like flowers from late spring to autumn.
POSITION & USES
An open, sunny position and poor soils are preferred. Banks, rough ground and rocky areas are ideal planting sites. Good drainage is essential. Suited to mass groundcover planting. Frost tender.
CULTIVATION
Although tough, Arctotis benefit from thorough ground preparation and good watering to start them off.
FERTILISING
Regular applications of Seasol and PowerFeed will keep it looking its best.
WATER RATING
- Red can = Little water in hot, dry weather.
- Green can = Deep watering every few weeks in hot, dry weather.
- Blue can = Deep watering weekly in hot, dry weather.
